GA EMS AWARDS BANQUET

The 2017 Georgia EMS Awards Banquet was unable to be held in May like previous years due to schedule conflicts and facility availability.  Therefore, we moved the banquet to November 30, but unfortunately we have had to cancel this event.

On a positive note, we received numerous award nominations for some very deserving EMS providers in our State.  The Georgia EMS Awards Committee has received all the nominations and is currently making the final selections in all categories.  We do not want these individuals to go unrecognized though, so we will announce the 2017 State Award winners in December.  Also, we are already working with the committee to revamp the State Awards Program for next year, which might include getting our winners even more recognition by expanding our legislative reception and honoring them in person in early 2018.

As we look into this option and other ways to honor EMS professionals in Georgia, you will be receiving a brief survey over the next few weeks. The survey will allow you the opportunity to provide thoughts and ideas on the banquet and awards program direction.  The survey results will be given to the committee to ensure that our planning efforts are meeting the expectations of our membership.  I know how busy everyone is, and I promise the survey will be brief.  We really do want your feedback, so please take a few minutes to complete it when it comes out.

Thank you for your continued support of GAEMS and for working with us to make improvements in Your EMS Association.
